A PLACE OF REMARKABLE STORIES

.

Over 7,000 items from all branches of the armed services are archived in the collection of the former Fairchild Heritage Museum, with more in the collections of the Sea Services Museum and private individuals.

.

With this building, each of these items and the personal story it represents will be accessible to everyone.

A BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

.

Occupying a spectacular site at Spokane International Airport and anchored by a Viet Nam era B-52, the vaulted glass gallery of the first phase will shelter suspended aircraft and interactive exhibits.

.

Dining and event space will overlook the gallery floor adjacent to research and restoration facilities.

View of Floor Plans, Phase-1

.

Historic aircraft will land on the nearby runway, parking next to the museum along Interstate 90.

Preserving Stories of Courage and Discovery

Relationships with area schools and students who visit to experience history will continue to grow. Your support will insure that our children and their families experience individual stories of honor and duty before they are lost forever.

Preserving Examples of Aviation Technology

Your membership will build a center where unique aircraft representing the evolution of aeronautic engineering will be experienced in an environment of changing daylight. Rare technology will be presented in the context of individual lives and important events. Your support will insure that those with the understanding of the workings of historic aircraft can share their irreplaceable knowledge.

CONTRIBUTING TO THE REGIONAL ECONOMY

Your membership will build a destination with an annual impact of $20 million to our area, as visitors are attracted to Spokane. Conference and event space will generate revenue and attract a wider audience to the benefits of membership. Your support will allow traveling Smithsonian exhibitions from the National Air and Space museum to revitalize the permanent collection, increasing the frequency of patron visits.

Membership

Take the opportunity to become a member of the Armed Forces and Aerospace Museum and help build a regional landmark.  As a member you will be an important voice for the museum, helping to create a place from which to share a significant collection of extraordinary aircraft, artifacts and stories.
